Scout Camp Month

June was the busy month for scouting: Cub Scouts Day Camp with Max and Scouts BSA Summer Camp with Renee.
After years of waiting, Renee finally got a chance to come to the archery range with me. Due to the rule change, she was not able to work on the range. But she still got to help outside the range and shoot during the break. This is Max' last year at Cub Scouts Day Camp, which is probably going to be my last year running the archery range for the Cub Scouts.

As the Scoutmaster, I went with Renee on the troop summer camp.

We were able to burn as much wood as we like and learned how to get a fire going.

On the last full day of the camp, I bribed them (because they need my signature to sign off the firem'n chit certificates) into making a troop sign to hang at the dining hall.

There was one weekend Max suddenly wanted to play mini golf, so we went to boomers. This time, we were keeping the score. It turned out that if we took better score from Renee and Max for each round, I can barely compete with them.

This is Max' Cub Scouts Den group picture during their last Pack picnic. It still felt not too long time ago when we signed up Max as a Tiger scout with me as their new Den Leader.

This is a great picture with Renee and Emily at the Cub Scout Day Camp. Renee is wearing the red staff shirt because they ran out of the yellow Junior Helper shirt.
