It goes without saying that this shelter-in period thing is weird for everybody. It is pretty much the opposite of why I have encouraged the kids to join scouting and do my best to support them as well as the organization. It goes without saying that everyone recognize it. With everyone still not sure about gathering, we are trying to do something outside the house while stay connected with the group.
The district arranged a virtual Camporee. While it is not nearly as fun as last year's two-night events, where our troop learned a lot about what it means to be a Scouts BSA troop, this year Renee and Max took it together to be with the program.
Renee signed up for First Aid Merit Badge. As part of the requirement, she needs to demonstrate and teach some first aid skills.
Max' troop 805 has better adult support to do something. On this day, they arranged a bike ride where the scouts can ride with the parents to a trail and compete for time.
