Scouts Girls Troop and Hit the Snow one last time

March was full of progress from the recent efforts.
We found some time to hike in a nearby park, where there are stations set up for freebie golf.

As the second month for the Scouts BSA troop that Renee is in, we are getting help from other troops to train our scouts. This is the session for cooking training.

Renee also joined training for youth leaders, where they learn about teamwork and leadership.

Renee's team in Destination Imagination, Crystal Cats, is on the final stretch for the state competition.

Max continues with his Cub Scouts activity. We have good volunteer leader for his Den. She has been keeping us on track with all the activities.

Renee had one of her friend, Emily, for a sleepover. The next day morning, I took them to lunch and looked for a geocache.

Renee's troop had the first cookout in the schoolyard.  They forgot quite a few things but they all cooked a meal and had lots of fun together.
We found time to go to the Northstar.

Renee is getting really good at her turn.  She showed off with a turn stop.
I took the girls in our troop to a district dinner, where we did the flag ceremony for the event.

Big Events with Fewer Pictures

We actually went through a few major events this month. But with all the efforts, we didn't really take good pictures.
Renee has started her involvement in the first Scouts BSA troop for girls. This is when we took the tent we got for the troop and learn how to set it up in your backyard.

Max joined the Team at his Kungfu school and start going to demostrations.

Here is Troop 126 that Renee is in.

Renee also went on the regional competition with her Crystal Cats for the second year. They lucked out this time and entered the state competition. They did poorly during the instant challenge but just got enough points.

We did go out on a small hike at the park.

Hiking and Skiing

We went on another hiking with the Den to the Mount Diablo.

We took some nice family pictures on the hiking trail.

This place is called Rock city which cool rock formations. We called this a highrise apartment.

Every week, Max spends about two hours on the Science Olympiad project. The progress is small but I am proud of all the things that Max is learning.

Max is now confident enoguh to play with the cat when waiting for Renee to finish her piano lesson.

We mad an overnight trip to North Star. The snow was pretty good. Max and Renee are getting faster than I now.

Max had a playdate with his best friend, Ben.

During the Den hiking, Max and Ben were "taking it all in".
