Hello Tahoe, again

Tahoe trip has become our Christmas tradition, where four families get together spend days in the mountains and evenings eating hot pot.
The house we stayed this time has a slot machine that appears to be tweaked such that it is impossible to use up all the credit in it. We got each one down to about 500 before it went all the way up to several thousands. This is one shot where Renee got 3 silvers in a row.

This is Max when he got 3 silvers too.

Because we stayed on the Nevada side this time, we went to this side of Heavenly. It is crowded everywhere on this side. We still managed to take a group picture next to this lake where we stopped by for lunch.

The next day, we went to the California side and found our favorite spot where the line is the shortest. I pretty much spent the whole day here.

Renee and Max can ride with me and go faster. I often have to ask them to wait for me to bind my board because otherwise they will disappear and wait for me at the bottom of the trail.

Here is the family photo when we leaving the house. The house sits on top of the cliff with great views to the lake.

I saw this house mentioned on the news and we checked it out. We had to make two trips because the first time the house was out of power. It is a great place to visit.

In preparing for a troop hike, we went to the north side of the San Francisco and hiked towards the Golden Gate Bridge along the water.

There is the Golden Gate Bridge! Unfortunately, the starting point was too far such that we never reached it. I adjusted the starting point for the next hike.

Renee and Max had their cousin visiting. Max got this ship model as present.

Kicking off both DI Teams!

This year we are very excited to have DI team for both Renee and Max!
This is such a great mother-daughter selfie!

Max and I joined our last camping trip with Pack 996. As the one of the most senior Cubs in the pack, Max joined the flag ceremony.

Max worked on his DI technical challenge at home.

Renee's team joined the IC day. Max was here too.

This remains our favorite park and they have learned new tricks with the familiar facility in the park.

Max sits at the top of this structure that they have been playing on for many years.

Here is Max' team at the IC day.

I still remember the days when I was teaching them how to use to swing.

Max joined the pack hike. This might just be the last hike with the pack.

We met up with Aunt Joyce for lunch at a local restaurant.

Renee was teaching their little friends how to eat the dish.

This is the group picture showing off how much they have grown.

Maturity

Instead of saying growing up, I am using "Maturity" this month because that is what these pictures show.
Renee's troop went on a 10-mile hike and climbed the Mission Peak. We also went to another 15-mile hike, which was way harder.

We stood in line for almost an hour in order to take this picture.

Max played big brother with Connor.

Renee and Max got interested this morning and cooked for us.
