For the second month of summery vacation, we made two multi-day trips: Camping in Redwoods and Hanging out at Lake Tahoe.
We joined another family from the Cub Scouts on their annual group camping. Six families joined and hung out in Redwood for two nights and two days.
During the day we went to visit the beach, where the kids had a lot of fun digging in the sand.
The place has a beautiful natural stone bridge. I cannot remember if I have ever been here when living Scotts Valley.
The kids and the dog got to know each other quickly and played the whole time.
Before taking down the tent, we quickly took the traditional camping picture.
We came back on July 4th. In the evening we took out the fireworks bought a few weeks ago and had our first fireworks experience. The kids quickly got a hang of lighting up the fireworks.
The parking lot was full of people and fireworks.
In one of the weekend we took a trip to Chabot Space and Science Center. Here the volunteer is explaining the movement of the moon, planets and sun.
They also went on this platform to get a feel of zero gravity.
The plasma ball is fascinating!
Max tried different experiments with the plasma ball.

We got the Pokemon Go fever! We go out almost everyday after dinner to walk around the neighborhood. The kids have quickly learned the safety rule #1: if you want to look at your phone, don't walk and be safe.
Renee liked more and more cooking with the mom.
During the hot days, we went to the community swimming pool and have fun.
At the end of the month, we went to Lake Tahoe and spent four nights there. We tried out the paddle board in the lake nearby.
They seem to like playing in the sand much more than the boats, even including the jet ski!
Of course, we continued our Pokemon Go sunset walk here. Unfortunately, there did not seem to have a lot of them around here.
We took every opportunity to find geocache, including this one hiding beneath the safe in a old train station museum.
