DI, Scouting, Outing

In case I somehow forget this (since no one else really reads this blog except the family), I actually don't consistently create a new post at the end of each month. Sometimes other things take higher priority, and my goal is to make it up later. This is one of the post. This one is actually written in May, when the COVID-19 is taking over our life and everyone is doing his or her best to keep the family sane. Under the circumstances, it is interesting to look back at the picture and wonder how different life was. I hope soon we will look back and reminisce about how life 'was' during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place period.

The Destination Imagination (DI) was in full gear, with both Max and Renee are on two different teams. We got lucked out this year with Max. We are hoping for getting both of them in the global competition.

Max is working on his last Pinewood Derby (PWD) project. This year, the paint job is SUPERB! Looking back at the cars that he made over the years, scouting program really brought a lot of growth in him.

As our family usual activities, this month we went to the "Little Yosemite" sunol park nearby.

Renee and Max were fearless when it comse to walking through the rocks and water streams to have some fun.

Our Chinese New Year dinner.

Renee's Scouts BSA troop went out for a service project to clean up the yard in Danville Grange. There are so much to learn in the community!
