Competitions

This appears to be the month of competitions. Looking at the pictures, I am amazed how much has happened.
This is the final month before the DI team going on the tournament. We pushed really hard to get the backdrops and props ready.
For the Cub Scouts Blue & Gold event, we built little lego model as our table centerpiece.

Here are our Den 9 wolves at the event.

Final post before the big day! Here we have the team sign ready as well.

Max went with me to the school for a BINGO night. We ALMOST won!

On the tournament day, our dynamite dogs performed very hard and competed well.

When waiting for the final score, we posed for a group picture. Unfortunately, we were 3 points short (out of 400) to go on the next stage. It has been a big lesson for everybody because we could have easily got those three points had we pushed just harder.

I have to keep this for future reference. Max was given this subtraction problem and he decided that he liked addition better. So, as you can see in the picture, he decided to change the problems themselves.

During the pack meeting of the month, we competed on the boat ride using the gutter.

Max passed another belt test and got blue belt.

As part of the effort to bring interfaith to our pack, I started organize visits to the worship centers. This is the first one to the nearby muslim center. The scouts got to observe the ceremony, ate with the kids in the center, and took a tour around the area.

When the rain stopped, we went outside for a Geocaching trip.
