Quiet Spring Break

We had our second spring break vacation in April. Following the great experience from last year, we went on another trip to the Estes Park.
The sight at the Rocky Mountain park was magnificant. Here we marked the starting of our week.

The house we stayed at had a little cabinet on the side. The roof was covered with snow later in the week where the kids were sliding down.

We went on an easy hike on the first day enjoying the scenary.

Another tradition for our trip has been the horse back riding. The weather was so cold that my phone battery almost died.

It snowed during the night. We got to play in the snow during the day.

We went on our first snowshoeing trip.
We set out to the lakes and reached the first one. However, we got on the wrong track, went through the lake, and went back instead of going forward. Nevertheless, the lake was great to walk on. Later in the day, we were told that it was actually not safe to walk on the lake during this time of the year.

We took it easy for the rest of the week. I had quite some time to go geocaching with Max, with Renee joining on the second afternoon.

We went to visit Boulder. The trail in the park had these rocks stacked along the way.

We took on another small trip and visited a small fall. Renee and Max climbed up with me. Actually, they climbed up quickly and I had to follow them.
Max and I took turns to step into the water for the picture.

As we were driving around, we saw the mooses hanging around the downtown.

Renee joined us on the second geocaching trip. We found some big ones with travel bugs.

I joined Max on a small school trip to visit In n' Out, where they learned how the food is made.

For earth day, we went to clean up the school and learned to getting rid of weeds.
